Yesterday one of the most famous family trees in the world sprouted a new branch, when Prince William finally bit the bullet and proposed. It's the announcement that everyone - especially, his long-term girlfriend Kate you might suspect - has been waiting for years to hear, and it's a piece of good news that really couldn't have come at a better time.
Here at Treehouse Life we're pretty hardy types, so we aren't particularly bothered by the cold weather. In fact we actually love this time of the year. Mainly, it has to be said, because we love trees - and autumn is for trees what London Fashion Week is for the world of over-priced outfits.
Not that many years ago, a child's life was a much simple one to live. They went to school, came home, ate proper food and slept. There was no right or wrong way for them to be, to think or to act. They stayed young, enjoyed life and learnt through play. Playing that involved friends, fresh air and wide-open spaces that is, not spent passing time alone in a virtual world.
Being the ever so helpful people that we are here at Treehouse Life, we'd just like to make it a little easier for the winner and offer up some ways to help you plough though some of that cash. Only a few days worth of interest at most, when you come to think of it. We'd suggest buying a small piece of land. Lets say somewhere like Hyde Park, or if that seems a little extravagant, then maybe just a small corner of Windsor Great Park. Then, once you've got the location sorted, we can help to build you the perfect house. The perfect 'tree' house, that is.
Of course our treehouses don't come for free (as much as we wish they could). What they can offer however is incredible value for money, and a rather crafty way of combining gift giving with sensible long-term investment. How? Well it's simple really.
So why not create something unique to put this wonderfully wet island on the golfing map? Dare we perhaps suggest something along the lines of a treehouse at the end of every hole? It might well sound like a rather radical idea for such a traditional sport, but when you consider that some courses around the world have crocodiles dodging golf balls in the lakes and kangaroos hopping for shelter in the sand bunkers, a simple treehouse suddenly seems incredibly normal.
But perhaps one favourite design idea that we'd simply love to create is a spectacular tree-canopy 'classroom'. This take on our popular tree-canopy walkway would offer all of the excitement of our treetop 'walk on the wild side', only much lower to the ground - for safeties sake of course.
Now here at Treehouse Life we can't really solve all your pre-Christmas blues, but we can perhaps help take one little weight off your mind. We can offer you something that is guaranteed to top every gift wish list and make every dream come true.
Here at Treehouse Life we think that treehouses and mazes go hand-in-hand. Together they will test your stamina and stretch your brain, keeping you fit and making you think. Of course there's the possibility that you might get incredibly lost along the way, but look on the bright side, the longer you're in there the more fun that you'll have.
They have been written about, hunted down and documented for hundreds of years. They fill countless storybooks and feature in numerous big budget films. They adorn pencil cases, t-shirts and duvet covers alike. They are the stuff of legends and the basis for a 1000 childhood dreams.
