| Perhaps we're excited because we feel that in some small way we're already playing a vital role in shaping the athletes of the future. Is that a ridiculously big claim for a relatively small treehouse building company to make perhaps? No, we don't think so. | ||

| Unless you've been living underground recently it would have been hard to miss the strong winds that have been battering the country from coast to coast. With gusts of up to 114mph recorded in some parts, it's certainly been a gusty couple of days. Aeroplanes have been grounded, rail services suspended, bridges closed and major roads congested with millions of frustrated motorists. And that's not to mention the large number of greenhouses that have simply uprooted, taken flight and ended up in next doors garden. | ||

| The owners of Bentley and Rolls Royce have decided that Treehouse Life are a luxurious treehouse brand of choice that represents all of the values associated with both of these car marques and, as such, have chosen us to feature in the Bentley 75th Anniversary book. A great honour for our company, as I'm sure you can appreciate. | ||

| If you're short of ideas about where to go, or fancy trying something a little bit different, then here are a few 'treehouse' themed holiday ideas that might appeal. | ||

| Good grief, it's 2011. Where did that year spring from all of a sudden
and what on earth happened to the last 10 years? It's like you've taken
your eye off the clock for a few minutes and a whole decade has slipped
by. One minute it's July and you're muttering that half the year has
already gone. Then suddenly it's October, you're knee-deep in pumpkins
and moaning that the tinsel and fake trees are already out in the shops
for sale. And then, all of a sudden, you take your head out of the
fridge, glance up from the TV guide and find that Christmas is over and
whole New Year has already begun.

| On the first day of Christmas,
Treehouse Life sent to me An adventure world in an oak tree. On the second day of Christmas...

| It has been estimated that approximately 200 million Christmas trees are bought worldwide each year, with more than 65 million being sold in Europe. In the UK alone, 8 million trees are currently being hauled into cars, dragged through homes and decorated to within an inch of their life. We're not even going to guess at how many baubles or miles of tinsel are required for that many trees, though at a rough estimate, we'd say there are probably 4 million stars and 4 million angels involved. | ||

| Being tree dwelling people ourselves (well, during the working day at least) we have to say that there's certainly something to be said for moving up off the ground. After all, there's a very good reason why many animals choose to live in trees, and it's not just for the handy storage holes or the desirable views. So if you live in an area prone to flooding, or have a river, stream or babbling brook nearby, then why not consider building a little bolt hole up amongst the leaves for the potentially waterlogged future. | ||
| ||
| Strange goings on in the middle of the woods, snowball fights while
still wearing shorts, lamas as work mates - it's all just a normal days
work in the eccentric world that we live in, busy making great
treehouses happen and helping Christmas dreams come true.
| ||
| And so the winter really has begun. The weathermen for once have got it right and the snow they all said was coming has already arrived. Depending on where you live you'll either be looking out at a flurry of flakes, driving home through heavy sleet or turning up the central heating to keep out the cold. | ||
