Treehouse living outside of the box |
Society often dictates that we live our lives tucked up inside 'the box'. We grow up learning to accept our boundaries and exist within our limitations. We rarely question the impossible or wonder what else we could try. We avoid setting off in new directions or taking paths that we've never been down before. It could be said that many of us simply choose to go with the 'norm'.
That's not to say that the 'norm' is necessarily a bad place to be of course. Life certainly makes more sense there. You can always know what to expect and, generally speaking, there aren't too many unpleasant surprises to trip you up along the way.
It might not surprise you to hear that Treehouse Life isn't a great fan of the 'norm', which is just as well really. If we did, we probably wouldn't even have a business to be writing about today. So if we're not about the ordinary, the boring or anything remotely resembling the mundane, then what makes us tick? Or bang, sizzle and pop for that matter?
It's simple really. When it comes to designing, creating, imagining and building our incredible treehouses, here at Treehouse Life we simply refuse to conform to the expected. Or even accept that there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. We certainly don't believe in giving up, taking the easy road or listening to the words 'No', 'Impossible' or 'Can't be done'.
Instead, with the optimism and carefree innocence of children, we love to buck the trend and leap as far out of 'the box' as is possible to go. We enjoy letting our bright - and sometimes not so bright - ideas lead the way and always opt for good old-fashioned imagination over boring, run-of-the-mill common sense.
More than anything else, we live for the challenge of turning the impossible into a reality and the thrill of seeing our vision take shape - whether that might involve soaring through the air like a bird or hurtling to the ground on a tearaway slide, stumbling across secret hideaways where fairies play or discovering dangerous new lands where dragons roam free.
Treehouse Life's latest project in Beverley, Yorkshire is certainly all about incorporating a little slice of magic into everyday life. The team are currently creating their very latest masterpiece in treehouse engineering - a suspended treehouse in a large beach tree, with a sundowners deck over 5 metres up above the ground in a nearby horse chestnut tree.
With the ingenuity of Paul Cameron's unique designs, the expertise of our experienced team and a little confidence from our clients - some truly imaginative 'blue-sky' thinkers, this is one project that is set to push all the boundaries of imagination, creativity, lateral thinking and problem solving, and hopefully, in the process, make the impossible a beautiful opportunity.
