How can a treehouse help Mother Nature? |
Obviously, as our name implies, we're rather partial to the odd tree. But did we mention just how much we love them?
We love to look at them, climb up them and sit in them. We love to run amongst them, slide down them and fly through them. We love to work with them, design around them and build beneath them. Most importantly, we love to protect them.
At Treehouse Life our green credentials are extremely important to us, and in every aspect of what we do, from the initial Paul Cameron design through to the final construction, we are always looking for new ways to protect and give back to the natural surroundings in which we work. In fact, when it comes to trees - both those that we build in and those we build with - there's nothing we won't do to make sure we stay on the right side of Mother Nature.
Over the years we have spent considerable time researching the best possible timbers to use for our treehouses - looking for those perfect materials that will not only offer a beautiful appearance and the ability to withstand the test of time, but also provide the most sustainable, environmentally friendly option.
As well as making sure that all our timbers are 'ethnically sourced' directly from the producer and taken only from managed forests, we also look for ways to minimise travel times involved when transporting our materials to site. While other Treehouse businesses may well think we are foolish for putting the welfare of the environment ahead of the profit in our bank balance, we couldn't disagree more.
At a time when everybody has a responsibility to reduce their own carbon footprint, we are only to happy to do our bit - and in the process, hopefully pass on the right message to a new generation of kids through each of the wonderful back-to-nature adventure lands that we build.
So in case you should worry that having a treehouse isn't really the 'responsible' thing to do, please don't. We've already taken all of the steps necessary to ensure that all you have to do is sit back and live your Treehouse Life - safe in the knowledge that you've already given something back.
