When a Treehouse speaks a 1000 words

A treehouse is a place where children can go to play and talk, or simply sit quietly in the Hammock Bridge and listen to a story being read. It's a chance for them to find out what they can do and learn when to push the boundaries. It's a place where they are safe to discover, imagine and aspire. It is often said that a picture speaks a thousand words, but actually it can offer so much more than that. With just the push of a button you can instantly capture a perfect moment in time - and then preserve it for an eternity.

Taking photos is certainly something that most people love to do. Perhaps this is because as we get older, the one thing we all have to show for our life, is the memories that we have created along the way. And what better way to honour those memories, than by getting them down on film - or on memory card, as the case now maybe.

Important moments might include your baby's first smile and teetering steps, or their first day at school. Or maybe a milestone birthday, a night out with the girls or your wedding day. Perhaps it's standing in front of your very first home or relaxing by a pool in some exotic far-flung location. It could be something as simple as a gathering your family together for a portrait, complete with a favourite pet.

Millie Kohler is one photographer who knows all about capturing the moment, whether that might be in the sky at night, on tranquil waters or across the changing land. Her stunning landscape and garden portraits are testament to the power of the lenses, and her images - which can be translated onto stretched canvases and beautiful cards - are nothing short of a work of art.

When Treehouse Life first saw Millie's pictures, it soon became obvious that we do actually work on different sides of the same business. The business of 'Magic' that is. At Treehouse Life we like to create it, and Millie likes to capture it.

So this made us realise, children, treehouses and cameras are a perfect combination.

Why? Because we all know that nothing brings out the snap-happy side in any person more than the arrival of a child in their life. From the moment 'Junior' enters the world, it's inevitable that cameras will go into overdrive and countless albums will be filled up with 'memories' faster than the printer can even produce them.

As parents we probably do over-obsess about documenting every movement and glance that our little darlings make, but that's only because small children have a habit of growing up far too quickly, and we all live in fear of forgetting each and every step along the way.

So with all this in mind, at Treehouse Life we've had something of a bright idea.

Instead of merely recording the everyday memories that go into the album, why not create some instead - and give your kids such a magical childhood that they'll never forget.

Our custom-designed, handcrafted treehouses are built to excite and enthral every child, to inspire new ideas and spark their imagination. Our treetop playgrounds are built to push boundaries and encourage free play. Our vision is all about creating the ultimate magical experience for kids to enjoy.

Still not convinced? Having completed and delivered countless treehouses over the years, we know one thing for sure. Nothing puts a bigger smile on a child's face than being given the freedom to discover, imagine and explore without the hint of a restriction or limitation in sight.

And as for capturing that picture perfect moment in your child's life. What better time could there be to record the sheer, unadulterated joy on their face, than when they run out into the garden and discover that you've given them their very own treehouse adventure world to explore.
