When it comes to building a truly spectacular treehouse, it takes a great deal more than a plank of wood and a bucket of nails. It requires groundbreaking designs, cutting edge techniques and the highest quality products and accessories. Above all else, it takes a creative, hardworking and dedicated team - a group of likeminded people all committed to the same vision.
At Treehouse Life we have such a team!
Firstly there is Jeff, our Project Manager, the one who provides the essential structure, physics and maths element to our mayhem. With his host of exciting ideas and solutions, Jeff can source anything from an army tank to tools, if it means making our unique treehouse adventures come true.
Having studied physics at Surrey University, run a Paint-Ball operation and qualified as an electrician, Jeff is the perfect person to combine science and fun. He takes our creative designs and simply makes them happen. His speciality is the 100m 'walk in the woods' - our wonderful Hammock Bridges that are suspended 14 m high in the tree canopy.
Next up is Scott, our inside edge on what is young, hip and happening. An official Yo-Yo champion, one of the UK's top gaming experts and a lover of fast cars, Scott gives Treehouse Life its all-important element of 'cool'.
Focusing on treehouse windows, doors and finishing, as well as supporting Jeff with our Hammock, Log and Rope Bridges, Scott aims for nothing less than perfection in everything that he does. With his instinctive and highly infectious sense of adventure, Scott is always the first inline to give our Zip Wires a go.
As well as working well together on every treehouse they build, Scott and Jeff also like to keep their adrenaline levels up with the regular climbing and bouldering they do together, experiencing a wide and extreme level of climbs.
Then we have Toby, our highly qualified Tree Surgeon, who spends the majority of his working days spent hanging from ropes high up amongst the trees. It probably goes without saying that Toby comes with significant tree climbing expertise, which is even more impressive when taking into account all the tools and timbers he has about his person while he's up there.
When he's not swinging through the trees, Toby can also be found somewhat closer to the ground, cycling through the beautiful Surrey hills.
With his chain saw skills and certification, Toby is not only essential to the management of the trees we work with he is also instrumental in enabling Treehouse Life's designs to truly integrate and flow with the natural surroundings. His significant knowledge and love for trees also reflects the very ideals and beliefs that Treehouse Life hold dear. Unlike other companies, at Treehouse Life we firmly believe in protecting the trees we use, not damaging or killing them. So when we build a Treehouse Life treehouse, we NEVER fix with screws, nails or bolts directly into the tree.
Next up are the 'Three Amigos' of the joinery world - Denis, Darek and Jack. Drawing on their combined wealth of experience refurbishing houses and creating high-end hand built kitchens and bathrooms, their impeccable craftsmanship allows our imaginations and creativity to run free. They magically translate our ideas into a world of millimetres, fine details, perfect angles and seamless, inspired joins. From stunning wrap-around decking and sweeping balustrades, to hidden joists and winding stairs, everything they create turns into handcrafted gold.
Of course it wouldn't be a team without a great leader, and Paul Cameron is the man behind the ideas and the inspiration for the Treehouse Life vision. With his creative background, his passion for life and his boundless energy, Paul is one of the few adults still able, or willing, to create the sort of adventures that children want to experience.
He is the glue that holds the team together, and the reason for Treehouse Life's global success. He advocates exercise, imagination and fun - all essential components of every person's childhood, no matter what age they decide to live it.
So with such a varied and exciting team behind every treehouse and adventure treetop world we design, it's hardly surprising Treehouse Life continues to set new benchmarks when it comes to creating the amazing and delivering the impossible.
